Signs of Danger During Pregnancy and What to Do
Requirements

Most women experience some aches and pains during their pregnancy. However, sometimes problems may arise during pregnancy that require urgent medical attention.

danger in pregnancy

1-Vaginal Bleeding

Vaginal bleeding is a condition that must be evaluated no matter what week of pregnancy it occurs. In case of bleeding, a doctor should be consulted immediately.

2-Liquid coming from the reservoir
Regardless of the week of pregnancy and regardless of the amount, a physician should be consulted if fluid leaks from the reservoir. Pregnant women may also experience frequent urinary incontinence. Fluid coming from the reservoir should not be confused with urinary incontinence.

3-Uterine Contractions
Groin pain is a very common complaint during pregnancy. Most of the time, it is due to the growth of the uterus and is a normal situation during pregnancy. Many expectant mothers experience mild groin pain lasting 10-15 seconds in the first 6-8 weeks of pregnancy. Especially in first pregnancies, groin pain begins in the earlier months and is felt more. In subsequent pregnancies, groin pain sometimes occurs only in the last months of pregnancy due to excessive growth and weight of the abdomen and the onset of contractions in the uterus.
Sometimes, in the second or third month of pregnancy, a sharp, stabbing pain may be felt in the groin area. This pain may suddenly intensify with movement or sudden standing up. The cause of this pain is the stretching of the ligaments around the uterus due to the enlargement of the uterus. Also, rarely during pregnancy, extreme pain may occur in the pelvis joints. With excessive relaxation due to hormones, severe pain may occur in the roof bone joint. In the last months of pregnancy, false labor pains (Braxton-Hicks contractions) may cause abdominal pain. These contractions are distinguished from real labor pains by being irregular and mild in intensity and relieved by rest and painkillers. If contractions are frequent and severe and do not go away, a doctor should be consulted. Real labor pains can be a sign of labor.

4-Abdominal Pain
Persistent abdominal pain that disturbs the pregnant woman should be evaluated by a physician. Many reasons such as appendicitis, gallbladder inflammation, and stomach ulcers can cause abdominal pain. Pain in the upper right part of the abdomen in the last three months of pregnancy; If it is accompanied by complaints such as headache, nausea, vomiting, blurred vision and increased blood pressure, it may be a sign of pregnancy poisoning.

5-Fire
A body temperature above 38°C in several measurements is called high fever. No matter what week of pregnancy it occurs, high fever is a condition that must be evaluated, it is not normal and may be a sign of infection. You should definitely consult a doctor. Taking antipyretic drugs should be avoided without consulting a physician. Because some of the medications may be harmful to pregnancy, and in this case, it is not enough to just reduce the fever; the condition causing the fever must also be treated.
High fever in the first months of pregnancy may cause some structural abnormalities and miscarriage.

6-Day Out
Pregnancies that extend beyond 42 weeks from the first day of the last menstrual period are considered overdue. In this case, the expectant mother should be evaluated by a physician to eliminate possible risks.

7-Decrease or Absence of Baby Movements
It is considered abnormal to have less than 10 baby movements in a 12-hour period after the baby's movements begin to be felt. In such a case, a doctor should be consulted immediately.

8-Breathing Difficulty
Respiratory difficulty due to pregnancy physiology is usually periodic and its onset is insidious. Difficulty in breathing is not accompanied by chest pain or cough. In the presence of cough and chest pain, a doctor should be consulted immediately.

9-Headache
Although new-onset headaches during pregnancy and the postpartum period are often migraines or tension-type headaches, it should not be forgotten that they may be the first sign of an intracranial problem. In case of a new onset of serious headache, a doctor should be consulted immediately.

10- Floating Eyes and Blurred Vision
Symptoms such as flying objects or objects in the eyes, lightning strikes, blurred vision may be a leading sign of pregnancy poisoning and eclampsia if they are accompanied by hypertension and abdominal pain.
